What Would You Do?

I started this feature last month where I give you a book-related scenario and ask for your opinions or what you would do in that situation.  I really enjoyed the responses so I decided to keep doing them.  I am not sure how regularly you can expect them, but I’ll post at least one a month.  There are no right or wrong answers to the questions and I truly want you to have fun with this.

Here’s your next situation…keep in mind that these are completely hypothetical and fictional situations that come from my own warped imagination.

You are given the opportunity to magically travel into one of your favorite books.  Once there you will get to meet the characters and live life just as they do.  You decide to take this opportunity, but realize that it has some mighty heavy consequences as your presence changes the course of the story between the hero and heroine when he begins to fall for you.  It seems that you have charmed him with your wit and personality and he can’t seem to resist you.  Meanwhile, his heroine, having no idea that the hero was supposed to be hers, has moved on and is falling for someone else.

Now you have a hero who desperately wants you, while his heroine is off with some other guy and to make matters worse, you can’t figure out how to get back to the real world.

First, which book do you choose?

Second, what do you do while you are in this fictional world?

Lastly, what do you do now that your actions seem to have changed everything?

I would choose a book that had a sad ending so my presence could improve matters for everyone involved :). Preferably it would be a novel set in a modern or advanced society where I could have access to healthy food, medical assistance and indoor plumbing….
